The Denton County Art Education Association’s purpose is to promote the advancement of art education through professional development workshops, youth art exhibitions and scholarship awards.

New officers are installed in September.
The organization was founded in 1987.

Annual events include Youth Art Month exhibit, awarding a scholarship to a high school graduate majoring in art, and teacher workshops.

The major goals for the group are to continue to promote quality art education programs for all children and to help implement policies to advance the visual arts as essential to a comprehensive education.
